Luna
Know your body. Own your data.
Most period apps sell your most intimate health data. Luna can't — it never holds a copy. No account. No cloud. No one watching.
I built Luna because the person I love deserved to feel safe. When my partner and I read about period apps selling users’ most intimate health logs to advertising giants, it felt like a deep violation of trust. We searched for a tracker that kept everything strictly on-device, but every option forced us to sign up or upload to the cloud. So, I built it myself. Later, we wanted a way to stay in sync so I could support her on the hard days—without letting some corporate server spy on our intimacy. That’s why I added offline partner sharing. I started this to protect her, and now I’m sharing it to help protect you, too.
No Account. Ever.
Open the app and start tracking. No email, no password, no social login — nothing. Luna doesn't know who you are, and it never will.
On-Device by Default
Your history stays strictly on your physical phone out of the box. No automatic server uploads. If you want a safety copy, export an encrypted backup file and store it somewhere you control.
Zero Ads. Zero Trackers.
No banners, no video ads, no analytics SDKs watching what you tap. Luna earns only from users who choose to pay. Nothing else.
Take a look inside.
No CGI, no Photoshop, no stock art. These are raw, unedited screenshots taken directly from a phone. Look at the real app, not a marketing concept.
Everything You Need. Nothing You Don't.
Six tracking modes. Partner sharing. History import. Discreet widgets. All of it runs on your phone — no internet required, no account needed.
Adaptive Tracking Modes
Choose between Standard Mode, PCOS Mode (longer/irregular cycles), Perimenopause Mode, Contraception Mode (fertility hidden), Pregnancy Mode (countdown paused), or TTC Mode (conception focus). Switch any time without losing history.
Switch From Flo, Clue, or Stardust — Keep Every Log
Leaving your old app doesn't mean losing 3 years of history. Just upload screenshots of your calendar and Luna reads the dates privately on your phone — no upload, no account, no data sent anywhere.
Private Partner Sharing
Share your current cycle phase with a partner 100% offline via encrypted QR code sync. Your partner only sees phase names and helpful tips — your symptoms, moods, and notes remain private.
Discreet Notifications
Keep your cycle confidential in public. If enabled, lock-screen notifications show generic reminders like 'Luna check-in' or 'Daily summary ready', never revealing sensitive period or fertility details.
Stealth Moon Widgets
Keep track of your cycle day discreetly. The home widget cycles between cycle day countdowns and the current moon phase. To onlookers, it looks like a stargazing utility, protecting your reproductive privacy in public.
Speak your language. Match your mood.
Luna supports German, Spanish, Bengali, Dutch, and English out of the box. And because logging your cycle shouldn't hurt your eyes at 1 AM, you can switch between clean Light and Dark modes with custom themes that match your style.
What we don't have, we can't hand over
If an app stores your period history on their servers, they can be legally forced to hand it over to courts or prosecutors with a simple subpoena. Luna is designed to make this impossible. Because we require no accounts and store logs only on your device, we hold zero records. If we are subpoenaed, we have nothing to give. If you export a backup, you keep the file under your own control. Your history stays yours.

How to verify these claims:
- [1] Cloud Storage & Accounts: Verified via Flo's onboarding screens (requiring email/registration), Clue's account creation policy, and Stardust's signup requirements. All three store database records on remote cloud servers to manage user sessions.
- [2] Ad & Analytics Trackers: Confirmed via the official Apple App Store App Privacy declarations and Google Play Store safety labels. Flo lists data used to track you (device IDs, advertising data), Clue discloses tracking via Adjust and Google SDKs, and Stardust's manifest integrates third-party tools.
- [3] Flo FTC Case: The Federal Trade Commission finalized an order in June 2021 settling allegations that Flo Health shared users' private health information with third-party advertising companies. View the official FTC Press Release.
- [4] Subpoenas & Law Enforcement: Cloud-stored databases are subject to third-party subpoena laws. In 2022, Stardust's privacy policy stated it would comply with law enforcement even without a warrant (see Vice Investigation). Clue and Flo operate as central cloud-custodians under German and US jurisdiction.
- [5] Mozilla Privacy Audit (Stardust): Mozilla Foundation's Privacy Not Included review gave Stardust a 2/10 privacy rating, finding that sensitive health data, pregnancy status, and symptom logs are shared with third-party analytics (RudderStack) and advertising identifiers with Meta/Facebook by default without opt-out options. Read the Mozilla Foundation Stardust Privacy Review.
- [6] Verify Luna Locally: Turn on Airplane Mode — cycle predictions, logs, and exports function perfectly. You can run network auditing tools (like Charles Proxy or Proxyman) to confirm zero network requests are sent during regular cycle tracking.
